Jesus gave His Church our mission when he said…

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  - Matthew 28:18b-20

“So, how are we doin’?”

It is healthy to ask that question in light of God’s love for us, and His love for the rest of the rest of the world.

In describing the church, the Apostle Paul wrote: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” - Ephesians 2:10.

We face the future confident that God has plans for us. We are confident we will continue to see the Life and Message of Jesus transform Hearts, Homes, and cities. The question is…

“What, specifically, does God have for us to do in the days and years ahead in order to see that vision realized here at Triumph?”

What’s Next, Lord? Process:

March 2024:  Triumph’s “What’s Next, Lord?” process begins.
This process is designed to gather information from our congregation around 5 simple questions:

  1. “What are the most encouraging and effective ways that you sense God is at work in and through our congregation?”

  2. “In what areas are we most in need of reevaluation and God’s help?”

  3. “What are the most important opportunities that we are not acting on that you believe God would love to have us act on in our congregation, the community, and/or globally?”

  4. “As we follow Christ, we will encounter difficulties.  What kinds of potential threats to accomplishing God’s mission for us do we need to really be thinking and praying about?”

  5. “Here’s your chance! Maybe you’ve never thought anyone would ask this.  Complete this sentence: ‘I know this might sound crazy, but I think God would be honored and delighted if we asked Him to help us do the following…………………………………………!’”

April 2024:

Triumph’s Directors, Pastors, and Elders will begin the work of sorting through the gathered responses to identify trends in the responses and consolidate all the information into the top responses. Out of this process, Triumph’s Elders will create a vision statement that will guide our ministry for the next 3-5 years.

May 2024:

The Executive Leadership Team will begin working with this vision statement to determine what to focus on … a 30,000 foot answer to the question: “How are we going to get this done?”

Summer 2024:

Strategy decisions will be finalized, and introductory conversations with staff and Elders will begin. The early stages of plan execution will also begin.
