Jill Weisenberger, RN
After 30 years in Grand Forks, working the majority of time in Home Care/Hospice and Case Management, my husband Mike, and I took an unanticipated offer to relocate to Fargo. I feel strongly that God lead us here and specifically to Triumph. God put the interest in Parish Nursing in me several years ago, but I was not able to pursue it until moving here. I am excited and honored to serve God and our new Triumph family in any way I am led.

Marilyn’s life motto is “To know Jesus Christ and to make Him known.”
Karen Swanson, RN
I grew up on a hobby farm just outside of Duluth. I attended the College of St. Scholastica and graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. I moved to the Red River Valley that year, married my husband Lee, and started working at St Luke’s Hospital (now Sanford) in Fargo that summer. I worked with adult patients on the adult resource team for first half of my career. I also joined the Army Reserves and was activated during Desert Storm and was sent to the United Arab Emirates. I have spent the last 15 years working in children’s hospital and currently am a supervisor in the Pediatric ICU. I took the Parish Nursing class this fall at Sanford and am excited to combine my passion for nursing with my love for Christ, the great healer. We have attended Triumph for the past 25 years. We have two grown sons and have been involved in the Triumphant Disability Ministry at Triumph.
Amanda Aakre, RN
I grew up in Argyle, MN. I attended Concordia College and graduated in 2004 with a bachelor of arts degree in nursing. I married Andrew Aakre and together we have three girls. I have spent my nursing career first as a NICU nurse and then as a school nurse. I completed the Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course through Sanford Health in the fall of 2016. I look forward to combining my knowledge in nursing with my love for Jesus to faithfully serve the people of Triumph.
(A Parish Nurse is not a substitute for pastoral or medical care, community health nursing, or social agencies. Triumph is incredibly blessed to have five Parish Nurses who are committed to loving and caring well for the Triumph family.)
