Stephen Ministries

Stephen Ministry is a confidential, caring ministry. In Stephen Ministry lay caregivers, called Stephen Ministers, provide one-to-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing some of life’s challenges. Stephen Ministers help provide quality caring ministry to people who need it.

Stephen Ministers are provided with 50 hours of initial training. After training they are assigned a care receiver with whom they typically meet with for one hour per week. Twice a month all Stephen Ministers meet for supervision and continuing education. This is scheduled for the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
